So, now I've done the RSS thing. I agree with a fellow 16 things blogger and I have thoughts of my own, too.
Google's RSS feels very "heavy". I don't think I would have said heavy on my own - that's 4 trains talkin' (http://4trainsacrossindia.blogspot.com/) - but its a great way to describe it. There's just something really wieghty about being there and I would imagine that filling it with your feeds makes the whole situation more claustrophobic (that's my word - didja like how I did that?)
My own thoughts are that I really like having my four favorite sites bookmarked and clicking through them. I like the way they all look in totality and I like seeing them. They make me happy and I would miss visiting them if I didn't go there everyday. Of course, as I continue to grow and the website number turns into a hundred rather than four, I'll probably be using an RSS feed.
Another note, I totally thought that RSS was for putting the updates on your own blog so that the updates you're interested in would be read by people that are interested in you. Of course, some people couldn't do that because re-saying what other people already said is what makes them interesting. But, those of us with massively populating opinions it would be nice to have the context of the thinking surrounding the blogging. Maybe my dislike comes from the disapointment of unrealized expectations. ...gotta hate that...
That's probably not all I could say about my RSS experience, but I'm going to cut myself off here because Brull gives out homework like the Jesuits give out Bibles. Don't get me wrong, I love it... I just have to go do it. See you in a social network!

Thing #1: A blog on my blog
I'm obsessed with this blog. I'm so stoked about this blog. I hate this blog - its taken over my online life. This is the third (and last) time I am editing this post.
First one was funny - laugh out loud, Annette in rare form - the way I talk when I'm overly excited. Then I decided that was too revealing. Then I posted more academically and I have now decided it is too boring and completely uninteresting, even to me. So, here I am again, in a final rendering of Thing #1: consider me a victim of scope creep and look foward to blog #2. (or not)
